Prospect – House and Original School Building

The first public school building at Prospect was built on five acres of land on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Blacktown Road in 1871. A teachers residence was built near by of four rooms with no kitchen or bathroom. An additional room with a verandah was added to the cottage in 1879, and a weather shelter was added to the school hall in 1881. image
